Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find parking?
We have onsite carparking which can be found at the end of the driveway to the rear of the clinic. We also have one disability accessible car park available here. If the car park is full, then on-street parking can be found on Coburns Road.
Where is the clinic entrance?
We have two entrances to the clinic, one found at the rear of the building via the car park and accessibility ramp. This entrance will take you directly to the reception area.
The other entrance is towards the front of the clinic, about halfway down the driveway and will be open from 5pm When entrancing through the side entrance, please make your way down the hallway to the reception area.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know with at least 36 hours’ notice so that another client may be contacted to fill your appointment time. If we are given less than 36 hours’ notice, we may not be able to give your appointment time to another client and you may be charged a fee for late cancellation.
We do understand however, that if you are unwell there may be a late cancellation, and in this case a cancellation fee will not be charged if you are able to provide us with a valid medical certificate.
If you are an NDIS client, we require 7 days notice of appointment cancellation, however a cancellation fee will not be charged if you are able to provide us with a valid medical certificate.
Why do I need to pay upfront if I have Medicare, TAC or WorkCover?
Unfortunately we have had clients provide false information to us regarding Medicare, TAC or WorkCover claims and we have been unable to invoice these third parties for services rendered. By paying upfront and claiming back yourself through Medicare, TAC or WorkCover, you will receive your reimbursement promptly and we are able to keep treating you.
Can I utilise all of the therapy options provided at Ampersand Allied Health regardless of whether I am on the NDIS or not?
Absolutely - we offer all of our therapy programs to everyone. We also offer group classes to those who wish to join, however group classes for non-NDIS participants will only be offered when there are enough clients to create a group class. With any of our group therapy classes, the overall cost of the class remains the same, however the cost to each individual is divided between the number of participants for the class.
For example: A 1:1 therapy class may cost $200 (some of this expense can be billed through Private Health Insurance, WorkCover or TAC if accepted), however a 1:4 therapy class will cost each participant $50. The same billing structure is applied for those participants with the NDIS.
