Osteopathy in the NDIS, Movement Therapy, Melton

We provide physical therapy support to children and adults.

The NDIS Osteopathy (Movement Therapy) program at Ampersand Allied Health has been created to support the development of movement in our day to day lives. The program is targeted toward building our client’s capacity for movement and motor control functions. We work with clients to train our brain and nervous system functions; all the way from our first desire to move, and through the planning and execution of our activities.

Our practitioners are skilled in paediatric and adult motor control assessments, exercise rehabilitation, and the implementation of tailored strategies for improving the quality and quantity of our everyday movements. We are experienced in analysing our behaviours and have a particular focus on assessing an individual’s movement with the task in mind.

When working with individuals with disabilities, we have a passion to empower people to develop their own identity, find their movement, and celebrate their individual creativity and uniqueness. It is though developing abilities within the supportive environment of our clinic’s neuro-affirming culture, that an individual can focus on finding their strengths, and developing their capacity within fine and gross motor skills.

Paediatric NDIS Osteopathy (Movement Therapy) Capacity Building will focus on a range of developmental milestones, including but not limited to posture, rolling, crawling, sitting, walking, reaching, grasping, feeding, dressing, self-cleaning, and schoolwork.

We will also work with children experiencing difficulties with physical participation in school, social sports or recreational activities. Our focus within these areas is aiming to develop and support an individual’s physical capacity, along with supporting their neurological and psycho-somatic development to have them participating at their highest social capacity for physical pursuits.
